Call For Participation
For CIT2000, the following is the tentative list of tutorials:
The International Conference on Information Technology (CIT 2000) will be held at Bhubaneswar, India, during 21-23 December, 2000 CIT has established itself as a successful annual international conference in Information Technology in India. It provides a high quality forum for scientists and engineers to present their latest research findings in this rapidly changing field. The earlier conference CIT'98 and CIT'99 were held in Bhubaneswar in December with active participation of academia and IT Industries. Participants from 10 different countries in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia have attended the conference. The conference arranges invited talks, special sessions and tutorials on cutting edge topics in Information Technology. CIT’98 and CIT’99 organized tutorials in mobile data and transaction management, electronic data security, internet protocol, web warehouse design, etc. About 500 participants attended these previous meetings.For CIT2000, the following have kindly given their consent to be key-note and invited speakers:

Special Topic Sessions and Workshops:
There will be several special sessions and workshops
in some focussed areas. Interested organizers are requested to submit a
1-2 page proposal to the program chairs as soon as possible. Sessions may
be either independent papers with a common theme or a set of closely related
papers describing a system. For more information about the conference please
contact one of the program chairs.
Student Poster Session:
The purpose of this session is to foster and promote
work and to stimulate active student interest and participation. There
will be a contest for best student paper award. Suggestions and
inquiries should be sent to Organization Chair. Graduate and undergraduate
students are invited to participate.
Tutorials:
Proposals are solicited for tutorials to be held during
CIT2000. Proposers should submit a proposal including brief description
with a brief lecture plan and vitae of presenter to either of the tutorial
chairs. The tutorial proposal can be made for different levels (beginners,
advanced, etc.) in emerging areas of IT. CIT2000 has accepted tutorials
as has been mentioned earlier.

Bhubaneswar , capital of the state of Orissa, is located
in the eastern part of India between Bengal and Andhra Pradesh. There are
convenient air and surface transportation to Bhubaneswar. The areas around
Bhubaneswar have several major attractions. The magnificent Sun Temple
of Konark (known as Black Pagoda) is internationally renowned. Puri and
Konark -- both within 30 miles of Bhubaneswar – have beautiful beaches.
Close to Bhubaneswar is Nandankanan Zoological Park, a botanical garden
that includes the largest lion and tiger safari in India. The Udayagiri
and Khandagiri hills at the outskirt of the city have a network of man-made
caves dating from the fourth century B.C. Presently, Bhubaneswar offers
a great promise to IT industries enthused by several liberalisation policies
of local government. Some nationally renowned IT industries have started
operating from the city. It is the fastest growing city in the eastern
region of India.

OITS is a Society of Computer lovers promoting computer
education and usage in Orissa. It is mainly a body of educationists and
researchers who wish to help in fast growth of computers, having also a
strong component of Computer Scientists outside the state and the country.
It organised the International Conferences on Information Technology in
December 1998 and December 1999, the Proceedings of which were published
by Tata Mc.Graw Hill. Last years Proceedings was sponsored by NALCO, Bhubaneswar.
Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT):

KIIT is a leading educational Institution in Bhubaneswar
offering B.E in Computer Science, in Information Technology, and, also
a course in Master in Computer Science and Applications. It sponsored the
publication of the Conference Proceedings of 1998.
